Thanks, President Ma, for reminding us that Taiwan officials should never use "China" but only "mainland" or "the other side of the Strait" when referring to the PRC.

The general public should see what the Ma administration is trying to do and start a campaign to refer to the country from the other side of the strait as China. The word Mainland should not be used when we talk about this hostile country. Why do we call a country 'Mainland' when most of us consider ourselves Taiwanese? Unfortunately, after years of brainwashing, many Taiwanese still cannot understand what the word Mainland implies, even some of the DPP members.
